Its hard to wrap the mind around I understand. Players do not need mods though. You just use mods to create the server; the people who join are vanilla.

Im not sure how to phrase this, thats why I use the world Vanilla. But obviously, im not making a vanilla valheim server. Its just the players who stay Vanilla. But how to speak about this? Mods usually mean the player needs to download something. What about a server that doesnt require any mods to join? What is that? Vanilla? Not Vanilla? So many questions.

Im splitting the videos up moving forward, so for the EWP content each subject will get a showcase video, and a tutorial video. That way the people who want to watch the showcase can watch that, and only people who want to set it up themselves will watch the tutorial

@@JPValheim yeah its still the old mistlands version and hasnt been updated for ashlands yet. but if you didnt have any issues with the older one then i will continue to use it again

@@Marineford2000 I use EquipmentAndQuickSlots v2.1.13 by RandyKnapp which was last updated 6 months ago. No problems for me personally

You can portal most stuff :) But not metal or cogwheels for the catapault. But eventually youll get a core, so you can make a stone portal, and then you can teleport metal with the stone portal

Its hard to keep track of everything I dont blame people xD Funny how sometimes things get heavier if you combine them, othertimes they get way lighter !

True xD I like the flat floor piece, I find it really useful for lots of different things. Especially with some metal for stability

There is an option on your blueprint rune, "remove planned pieces" you can select that, then hold CTRL, and make a circle. When you click everything in the circle will get deleted

True, I see where you are coming from. That makes sense on single player, its "Saving FPS" not lag. But on multiplayer, its different. The monster AI, actually causes lag, not just FPS drops. If there are a lot of monsters and players nearby, you can try to attack an enemy, but it will take a few seconds to register the hit. And sometimes you just get killed from damage from an attack you didnt see, a few seconds later. In those cases, its lag right?

You can adjust the terrain modification markers :) You can change the shape and radius. Just place it, then go up to it and click on the marker, you can edit it that way. It can be changed to a circle or a square etc. You can also set markers that are not connected to the build. For example, you can place a center point marker in front of the building, underground, not touching any pieces. I agree though, terrrain markers are finicky. They are way more time consuming than copying a base without them. But once you get it in the right place, it does work

@@JPValheim Thanks. Ill try this out. I have a "bank" building with a vault basement. I have a floating version of it I copied and trying to set markers to properly save it. So setting not attached markers is difficult in mid air and in approximate line with what will be "ground level".

@@JPValheim Thank you. This worked. I do wish I could pre-set the marker, instead of setting them all and then going one by one editing them. The bank required around two dozen terrain markers to avoid issues. Plus it would be nice and easier setting them as always square and resize with scroll wheel, so I can see their coverage. A side question. Do you know a way for the game to recognize a saved build, one set, as one item? My town lags horribly and I have a really powerful cpu and gpu. I get less than 10 fps. My friends get less than 3 and can't enjoy the town I already build. I would love to rebuild it with this tool and we all won't lag horrifically.

Theyve been going that direction with world modifiers, maybe in time theyll add more layers to that :)

Sometimes that happens when there is a rock spawned nearby, or a tree, or a bush. If its spawned inside or near the pilla ritll keep it supported

@@JPValheim yeah. Our mountains don't even look like mountains, terrain is so smooth there that we thought something glitched. They are also even lower and smoother than those in the video so you can imagine how strange it was for us when we saw it first time. I didn't even know it is caused by Ashlands update. But this also was ideal place for our base near Ashlands, we were looking for a good place at that moment.

Not usually, but if you do some kind of harpoon slingshot in coop you might be able too. Thats not as intended though xD You can make it once you have a catapault from the Ashlands. Catapault + Mountain peak + Feather cape = up to 1/3 map travel !

Its a cool find ! I hope that Iron Gate creates more, rare special biomes, that are like hard versions or easy versions of themselves. Could be a cool mechanic

I don't think so, but test it to make sure. You probably made the path outside of the nobuild zone so it should be far enough away

Ive been meaning to try out AutoStore some of the players on the server use that and it looks cool. I like the visual part

@@JPValheim Place down chest and put wood in it. (in a row, triangle, circle) Place down Kiln. Place down chest for coal and ore. Place down Smelter. Place down chest for Bars. You now have fully automated smelting. You got better things to do than play ring around the smelter. Pat yourself on the back for evolving.

I feel the same, its more enjoyable to go hunting than making a boar farmer, but people seem to really enjoy making animal farmers that they then dont end up using xD

Sounds like theya rent getting loaded properly. I recommend you use r2modman to install them, that way it puts everything in the right place.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head! Thats the experience of playing co-op with somebody who thinks Valheim is just another game to play. Meanwhile your.... in another headspace xD Thats how it is for me too, I can make videos and kee the game interesting for years with occasional breaks here and there. I love Valheim. Its my favorite game and Iron Gate are some of my favorite developers.
